Exit interview: Fan fave earned starting spot at center in fifth and final season

"Exit Interview" is a concept started at WolverineNation last year in which we chat with players leaving Michigan about their experiences with the Wolverines and in some cases what's next.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Before Elliott Mealer even arrived at Michigan, he became a sentimental favorite for Wolverines fans, having been injured in an accident which paralyzed his brother and claimed the lives of his father and his girlfriend.
Through it all, Mealer stuck with football even if he watched from the background and on special teams through most of his career before earning the starting center spot his final season.
