ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan football is back. What all this means, of course, is a return of the Front Four, the last bit of analysis before the Wolverines step onto the field each college football Saturday.

Michigan's opponent this week is the defending national champion, No. 2 Alabama, in what is probably the toughest season-opening test the Wolverines have had since 1995 against Virginia -- or 2007 against Appalachian State, depending on the consideration of outcome.
