Wolverines' successful club program to make its varsity debut after two-year process

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The first meeting came in a parking lot.
Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon had been on the job less than a week in March 2010 when he ran into a man whose life he would change.
John Paul introduced himself to Brandon, whom he met once before, and Brandon's wife, Jan, as the club lacrosse coach. Brandon said something that piqued his interest: They needed to meet.
