Athletic director puts priority on facilities and raising funds to execute plans

Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon enters his second full season running the Wolverines' athletic department. In that short time, he already has dealt with a lot. Michigan was put on NCAA probation from an investigation into extra practice time with its football team, it finished renovating Michigan Stadium and began an expansive redo of Crisler Arena, its basketball facility. He also proposed Saturday's first-ever night game in Michigan Stadium against Notre Dame and brought hockey to Michigan Stadium with the Big Chill at the Big House. On Sept. 1, two days before Michigan opened its football season against Western Michigan, Brandon sat down with WolverineNation for an exclusive interview. Here is part one of that conversation.
