Offensive coordinator sticks to what his quarterback does best against Western

The old coach's mantra is that after you watch the tape it is never as good or as bad as you thought.

When they watched film Saturday night and Sunday of Michigan's rain-shortened 34-10 win Saturday afternoon over Western Michigan, what Michigan's coaches likely saw was a defense that played pretty well for two of three quarters and an offense that had moved well at points -- but also stalled.

After rewatching the tape, here's what stood out -- what Michigan did well, and what might end up being a concern as it heads into a Saturday night game against Notre Dame in Ann Arbor:
