ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Parker (Colo.) Ponderosa High School football coach Jamie Woodruff knew Darrell Funk when Funk was the offensive line coach at Colorado State University. In 2011, when Funk finally made the move to the University of Michigan, Woodruff's favorite school that was just a few hours from his hometown of Muskegon, Mich., Woodruff thought he couldn't have been more pleased.

That is, until one of his players at Ponderosa -- offensive lineman Chris Fox -- committed to the Wolverines.

"I didn't think I'd see the day, really, where we'd have a kid going to Michigan," Woodruff said. "But I'm excited I did."
