California prospect visits campus then shows well at Adidas Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- There were plenty of familiar faces at the Adidas Invitational on Saturday in Ann Arbor. But there was one all the way from California whom people haven't seen much of though they've heard plenty.
Joe Mathis, a 2013 defensive end, holds offers from several top programs, but after a visit to Michigan's campus on Friday, he wasn't shy about talking about the impact the Wolverines had on him.
"They're No. 1 on the list right now," Mathis said of Michigan. "I'm not going to commit or anything, that's selfish of me not to look at other schools, but that was better than the UCLA and USC visit."
