In a time when YouTube highlight videos didn't exist, star rankings were associated with astronomy and handwritten letters were the only form of text messaging, Bo Schembechler was considered one of the best recruiters in the country.
Schembechler was already a legend in his own right, and he intimidated even the most highly recruited prospects at the time.
He knew exactly the kind of football player and the kind of person he wanted at Michigan. If you didn't believe you were tough enough to play at Michigan, you probably weren't in his eyes, either.
