Early enrollees savor moments

Six commits will hit Ann Arbor, anxious to hit weights, books, practice field

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- At this point, most high school students are looking forward to the thrill of a holiday break and the relaxation that comes with it.

But not the six early enrollees in Michigan's 2013 class. Winter break means something completely different -- nerves, packing, goodbyes and growing up. Their "vacation" will be spent preparing for big moves and even bigger changes.

Because when their fellow commits sign their letters of intent on Feb. 6, the early enrollees will already be a month into their college classes, weightlifting and conditioning in Ann Arbor.
