Everitt stuck with Michigan
Wolverines were set to move on without future All-American, but he wasn't

"With the 14th pick in the 1993 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select Steve Everitt, offensive lineman, Miami."
Of course, that is not the school then-NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue announced when Everitt was selected that year, because he went to Michigan. But the player admits history was close to needing a rewrite.
"When I called the coaches to tell them I wanted to come to Michigan they said they had to make sure they had a scholarship," Everitt said. "It was like a two-week period where I was in limbo and didn't know if I had a spot."
