CHICAGO -- The offer from Purdue and the letters from USC, Oregon, Michigan and Iowa are misleading. Denzel Ward (Chicago/Hales Franciscan) is just four games into his football career.
Four games into most football careers, the majority of players are still figuring out what to do with their chin straps or feeling tempted to wave to their parents in the bleachers.
And in a way, the 2014 left tackle still is learning his way around. Only, he's doing it under the watchful eyes of college coaches like Brady Hoke, Chip Kelly and Lane Kiffin.
