Signees follow workout guidelines
Nutrition key to gaining or losing weight, adding muscle

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Shortly after student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent in February, college coaches sent out a training guide that included information on weight training, fitness and nutrition.
For some players who might not know exactly what they need to do to prepare themselves for the college game, the packet acts as a guideline for their upcoming preseason, but for others, it's just a reminder that the football season is coming and they need to continue what they've already been doing.
Offensive line signee Kyle Kalis (Lakewood, Ohio/St. Edward) said he hasn't been following the packet directly, because he has an alternative that the Michigan coaching staff approved. Kalis has been working out with LeCharles Bentley, a former NFL and Ohio State offensive lineman, since early December.
