Detroit Cass Tech lineman returns from Texas hiatus more mature and well-rounded

DETROIT -- During Cass Tech's playoff run in 2010, David Dawson was a sophomore starter, more an exception than the rule on the Technicians football squad.
But they fell short that year, losing to Lake Orion in the championships.
When Cass Tech won the state championship in 2011, Dawson had to watch from Texas.
