ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Brady Hoke was one of the first college coaches to extend an offer to 2012 offensive tackle commit Erik Magnuson (Carlsbad, Calif./La Costa Canyon).
Only that offer came from San Diego State.
Even though it was his father's alma mater, Magnuson wasn't sure he wanted to stay that close to home, so he kept an open mind. But every time a new offer popped up, he would think of Hoke and his staff.
Recruited by Hoke at San Diego State, California OL prospect Erik Magnuson hardly hesitated to consider -- and commit to -- Michigan State when Hoke moved Midwest.
