ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Linebacker recruiting in the class of 2012 has been excellent for the Michigan Wolverines. The coaching staff managed to gain commitments from the No. 7 outside linebacker along with the Nos. 6, 7, and 23 inside linebackers.
Those pickups were needed as current linebackers Kenny Demens and Brandin Hawthorne will both be seniors next year. The 2012 success also lessens the pressure to land top prospects for the 2013 class.
That doesn't mean the Wolverines won't look to add a few talented backers to the roster in 2013. The coaches already have their eyes on some top recruits and will certainly evaluate more in the near future.
