FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Seniors Mario Ojemudia and Devin Funchess (Farmington Hills, Mich./Harrison) have played football together since grade school and will continue to be teammates -- at the University of Michigan in the fall.
But that doesn't stop them from taunting one another. One of the biggest taunts? Ojemudia was once taller than Funchess -- and he doesn't let him forget it, not since Funchess outgrew Ojemudia in eighth grade.
Funchess, a 6-foot-4 tight end who is the more outgoing of the two, likes to remind Ojemudia that he's bigger now by talking trash during practice. But Ojemudia, who at 6-2 is considered undersized to play both ways on the line, counters Funchess with the fact that he is still tougher on the field.
High school teammates and Michigan commits Devin Funchess and Mario Ojemudia aim to win another state title and then bring their winning ways to Ann Arbor.
