ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Grand Blanc (Mich.) High School is typically known for its offensive players, most notably 2009 Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram. But 2013 prospect Luke Maclean is turning heads on the defensive side of the ball.
"He's something we haven't had in a while, and that's a big-body guy," Grand Blanc coach Joe Delany said. "He has an excellent frame to him, and he's an excellent worker. We have to kick him out of the weight room."
Maclean is a student of the game. His work ethic in the weight room is matched by his motivation in the film room.
A defensive end with a mean streak, Grand Blanc's Luke Maclean also is a student of the game and a weight-room warrior.
