Shepard ready to step up for LSU
WR Russell Shepard flirted with the NFL but has unfinished business in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The springtime spotlight is nothing new to LSU wide receiver Russell Shepard.
Whether it was his freshman year, when he enrolled early as one of the nation's top recruits, or the following spring when he switched positions from quarterback to wide receiver, Shepard is no stranger to attention at this time of year.
"I've been here awhile. I know how it goes," Shepard said. "You've just got to get better each and every day, and not think too far ahead."
