BATON ROUGE, La. -- Almost two weeks to the day after LSU lost Gunner Kiel to Notre Dame, the Tigers added a new signal-caller to their 2012 recruiting class. ESPNU 150 prospect Jeremy Liggins (Oxford, Miss./Lafayette) became commit No. 22, opting for LSU over Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Liggins' commitment was broadcast by Reb Sports Radio, KBUD 102.1-FM in Oxford, from Irie on the Square, a local restaurant.
The four-star recruit chose LSU's helmet from a lineup of five of his favorites, eliciting a surprised response from the crowd in attendance.
