BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU already was expecting an influx of talent at linebacker on national signing day, and now there's even more reason for optimism.
The commitment of Lorenzo Phillips last week now gives the Tigers six players with potential at the linebacker spot. With a unit that's set to be overhauled by the graduations of Ryan Baker, Karnell Hatcher and Stefoin Francois, it couldn't come at a better time.
There's a pretty good chance these names will get mentioned early and often as LSU heads into the fall of 2012. And for a few of them, that chance could come as early as this spring.
