Jefferson, Lee depart on down note

1/10/2012 - LSU Tigers

Through suspensions and interceptions, in both dogfights and drubbings, Les Miles knew exactly how to hide his quarterbacks' deficiencies en route to a 13-0 record this season.

Against a menacing Alabama defense Monday night, however, there was no hiding. LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson found absolutely no answer for a surging Crimson Tide pass rush and a suffocating secondary, struggling to a measly 53 yards passing and an interception.

His counterpart Jarrett Lee, who piloted the Tigers through a brutal September schedule, watched the 21-0 beating from the sideline.
