Title-game loss punctuates four-year stretch of inconsistent QB play for LSU Tigers

Through suspensions and interceptions, in both dogfights and drubbings, Les Miles knew exactly how to hide his quarterbacks' deficiencies en route to a 13-0 record this season.

Against a menacing Alabama defense Monday night, however, there was no hiding. LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson found absolutely no answer for a surging Crimson Tide pass rush and a suffocating secondary, struggling to a measly 53 yards passing and an interception.
