BATON ROUGE, La. -- The word around here all season has been that as good as LSU was in 2011, the 2012 model might be better.

After falling 60 minutes short of a national championship Monday night in New Orleans, Tigers fans are hoping that proves true.

LSU will return a stacked roster for the 2012 campaign, bolstered by a recruiting class currently ranked No. 11. But how the Tigers handle turnover at five key positions could determine whether they vie for another chance at a crystal football.
