TAMPA, Fla. -- Brandon Boykin was so good in Monday's Outback Bowl that he won game MVP honors despite playing for the losing team.
In his final game at Georgia, the senior cornerback scored on offense, defense and special teams, but his Bulldogs blew a double-digit halftime lead to fall 33-30 in three overtimes.
"I don't care about accolades," Boykin said after the game. "Going out, I'll remember most not getting that W, and how I felt in the locker room, for the rest of my life. It wasn't a good feeling. I guess getting that MVP just symbolized how hard I tried to play and that I gave it my all."
