Turnover margin key to win
Georgia stakes success on forcing opponent to make mistakes, but LSU does it better

ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia's players and coaches frequently emphasize that an improved turnover margin is the leading factor in the Bulldogs' turnaround this season, but perhaps no team better exemplifies the value in winning the turnover battle than LSU.
Nine of the nation's top 20 teams in turnover margin also are ranked in this week's BCS standings -- and LSU leads the bunch.
The top-ranked Tigers (12-0) have committed fewer turnovers than their opponent in every game this season -- and their ball-hawking defense's ability to create momentum-shifting takeaways might be the most important factor in their undefeated record.
