Dawgs want no part of bowl repeat
Last year's loss to UCF, losing record, seniors' disappointment have left their mark

ATHENS, Ga. -- The lasting image from Georgia's Liberty Bowl loss to UCF last season was of Bulldogs receiver Kris Durham leaving the field alongside fellow senior Chris Davis.
With an ESPN camera following him toward the locker room, Durham's eyes welled with tears as the gravity of the 10-6 loss sunk in, along with the knowledge that the Bulldogs just finished the season with a 6-7 record. Durham battled back from a series of injuries early in his career to post the best individual numbers of his career by far as a fifth-year senior, but he could not prevent Georgia from experiencing its first losing season in 15 years.
"I know it was a very emotional time for those guys," said Georgia center Ben Jones, now a senior who last season passed on an opportunity to leave early for the NFL after the disappointing finish. "The season that we had last year, it was a down year for Georgia. We busted our tail and did everything we could for those seniors and it just didn't turn out like we wanted it to and it hurt.
