ATHENS, Ga. -- Throughout its 10-game winning streak, Georgia's defense successfully neutralized what each opposing offense customarily did best.
The Bulldogs shut down the unorthodox run games of Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Auburn. They slowed Tennessee's pass-happy offense and injured Volunteers quarterback Tyler Bray, who entered the game on a tear. They sparked a comeback win against Florida by holding the Gators to 32 yards and a single first down in the second half.
And when they squared off with first-rate receivers who are similar to Michigan State's B.J. Cunningham, they typically came out on top.
