ATHENS, Ga. -- Orson Charles and his Georgia Bulldogs teammates practiced here Tuesday for the final time this season, after which the junior tight end headed home to Tampa, Fla. -- where the Bulldogs will compete in the Outback Bowl after the holidays.
That Jan. 2 game in his hometown against Michigan State might be the final time Charles plays for Georgia, although he says he has not determined whether making an early leap to the NFL is the correct decision.
"I'm blessed to have a decision in the first place," Charles said. "I grew up hoping I'd have a decision and really it's just going to come down to what the Lord wants me to do. I'm just going to pray about it and talk to my family and definitely just wait after the Michigan State game and take it from there."
The Outback Bowl will be a homecoming for Georgia TE Orson Charles -- a bittersweet one, as the standout's potential NFL opportunities might make it his last game as a Bulldog.
