ATHENS, Ga. -- This afternoon, Georgia begins preparations for its Jan. 2 Outback Bowl date with Michigan State.
The Bulldogs (10-3) are scheduled to work out every day until they break Dec. 20 for Christmas, before resuming their bowl prep Dec. 26 in Tampa, Fla.
Their opponents also are completing final exams this week and will open bowl practice Friday.
The Spartans (10-3) finished the regular season with the best conference record in the Big Ten (7-1) and finished one heartbreaking loss away from playing in their first Rose Bowl in two decades. Instead, their 42-39 loss to Wisconsin in the inaugural Big Ten championship game landed them in the Tampa game against the Bulldogs.
