ATHENS, Ga. -- Ask any of the bearded Bulldogs which statistic is the most significant indicator that Georgia has rebounded so effectively and they will all say the same thing.
"It's turnover ratio. That's huge around here, man," senior tight end Aron White said.
The Bulldogs have improved from good to great in that category this season, earning nine more takeaways than their opponents through the first 10 games. Georgia's plus-0.9 turnover margin ranks second in the SEC, ninth nationally and is the No. 1 reason the Bulldogs believe they have gone from a losing season in 2010 to the brink of an SEC East championship this fall.
Defense wins championships. With its impressive turnover margin, third-down D and sack total, Georgia has its eyes locked on an SEC East title.
