The University of Georgia could have one of its larger football recruiting classes next January. The Bulldogs have eight commitments for 2013, and seven are considering early enrollment. With a high number of EEs and several extra projected spots available on the roster, Georgia could sign around 30 recruits next year.
Looking at the talent level of the commits so far, head coach Mark Richt and his staff have to be excited about the possibility of so many additions arriving on campus early. Two of them will be juco additions.
With the lack of depth in the secondary, cornerback Steven Nelson (Warner Robins, Ga./College of the Sequoias) will have an opportunity to make an instant impact on the roster. Known as a dynamic return man as well as a cornerback, Nelson hopes to take advantage of the extra time on campus to adapt to defensive coordinator Todd Grantham's scheme.
Of the Georgia Bulldogs' eight commits so far in the Class of 2013, seven are considering early enrollment, which could help clear the way for Georgia to sign around 30 recruits next year.
