MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -- Georgia might be adding a commitment to its Class of 2012 soon. If the stars align for Mario Alford's (Greenville, Ga./Georgia Military College) official visit, scheduled for this weekend, the Bulldogs could get some much-needed help in the secondary.
"I am going to go up there, have a good time, show my face and let them know I really want to be a Bulldog. Hopefully I get an offer," Alford told DawgNation on Monday. "Scott Lakatos called me last night and told me about my official visit. He said I would be staying in downtown Athens at a hotel. I told him I was excited about it."
The talented juco athlete had a hard time finding the words for what an offer from the Bulldogs would mean.
Juco athlete and UGA prospect Mario Alford believes the military training he has received at Georgia Military College gives him an edge against future Division I competition, and he wants to prove it while wearing red and black.
