ATHENS, Ga. -- Don't tell Keith Marshall that he and Todd Gurley are poised to form a "Thunder and Lightning" backfield at Georgia, with Gurley blasting for tough yardage up the middle and Marshall typically making plays around the edge.
That prediction discounts both players' ability to do damage in a variety of ways, Marshall said.
"I don't necessarily agree with that because Todd is fast and I'm not scared of running between the tackles," said Marshall, who noted that he has already gained eight pounds since enrolling at UGA last month and is up to 201. "I guess he's more of the between-the-tackles kind of back right now. He's about 210, and I'm faster than him, but he's got speed, too."
