Counting down to signing day, who's left? What would it mean if RBs Todd Gurley and Mike Davis both were to commit? DawgNation answers these questions and more in this week's Recruiting Mailbag.
Fnickc: Realistically, who is left on the board at this time? I have seen multiple names out there that seem like a long shot. Just wanted your opinion.
KA: First, we need to quantify what should be considered realistic. I am going to consider top three as realistic, and go from there. Georgia has running backs Mike Davis (Stone Mountain, Ga./Stephenson) and Todd Gurley (Tarboro, N.C./Tarboro), wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (Hutchinson, Kans./Hutchinson CC), offensive tackle Avery Young (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens), outside linebackers Josh Harvey-Clemons (Valdosta, Ga./Lowndes), Kenderius Whitehead (Lithonia, Ga./Martin Luther King) and Josh Dawson (Tucker, Ga./Tucker), and defensive backs Sheldon Dawson (Memphis, Tenn./East) and Will Redmond (Memphis, Tenn./Ridgeway).
Two other targets to keep an eye on are tight end Sean Price (Citra, Fla./Marion) and defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson (McDonough, Ga./Henry County). Price, a USF commitment, picked up an offer from UGA and could take an official to Athens in the next two weeks. Tomlinson had Alabama and Florida on top, but it appears both schools might be full on the defensive line. Georgia and Georgia Tech could emerge as possible destinations for Tomlinson.
