ATHENS, Ga. -- This weekend, the Georgia Bulldogs played host to several of their top remaining offensive targets for official visits, with offensive tackle Avery Young (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) being one of the biggest prospects -- if not the biggest prospect -- on the board. The ESPNU 150 selection has already taken official visits to Alabama, Auburn and Florida, and his latest trip had him gushing about the Classic City.
"The trip to Georgia was everything I thought it would be," Young said. "What a great place, and compared to the others it was one of the best. The area is beautiful, and I really do not think there are many places that look like Athens."
The Under Amour All-American, who is originally from Cuthbert, Ga., is looking for just the right fit in a program. What he found in his return trip to the Peach State -- his first to the University of Georgia campus -- was a strong bond between the coaching staff and the players.
"The main thing that I looked at was how much the team looked like a family," Young said. "They are happy together and they enjoy their life at Georgia. That was a big thing for me. With how well I got along with the team and enjoyed myself there, it really felt like home."
