SEC East title impresses top prospects
Even commits to other programs congratulate Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. -- With Saturday's 19-10 victory over Kentucky, the Georgia Bulldogs finished a chapter in what has become one of the more impressive turnarounds in college football this season. After last season's disappointing 6-7 record, the Bulldogs' shaky start to 2011 had most writing them off after back-to-back losses to Boise State and South Carolina. But a funny thing happened through the next nine games. Georgia forgot how to lose. Now Mark Richt has Georgia heading to its fourth SEC championship game since he became head coach in 2001, and the Bulldogs' on-field success certainly has not gone unnoticed by recruits. DawgNation spoke to a number of Georgia targets to get their take on the big win for the Bulldogs.
Top targets impressedOne of the marquee targets -- and arguably THE marquee target -- still on the board for Georgia is five-star running back Keith Marshall (Millbrook, N.C./Millbrook). Ranked No. 6 overall in the ESPNU 150, Marshall grew up a fan of the Bulldogs, and the staff in Athens is hoping to gain a commitment from the Under Armour All-American in December. Marshall was content to see the Bulldogs erase any trace of a hot seat in Athens.
