Former Cook County linebacker Shannon Brown (Milledgeville, Ga./Georgia Military College) has missed the last few games because of a shoulder injury, but before that the 6-foot-1, 228-pound prospect was making life difficult for running backs and wide receivers coming across the middle.
Brown has given himself two nicknames: "Boogeyman" and "Headache." The first is because he feels running backs are scared to come up and meet him in the hole, and the second is what he becomes for those who are not scared. In six games, Brown has 30 tackles, two sacks and three tackles for loss for the GMC Bulldogs.
The transition from high school to the JC level of competition has provided a good opportunity for Brown to get a taste of college football.
