With Thursday's release of the updated ESPNU 150, it is apparent that the University of Georgia is in the mix for a number of the elite prospects in the country. DawgNation looks at the top talent Bulldogs fans should keep an eye on for the remaining 2012 recruiting cycle.
Georgia's highest-rated commitment on the ESPNU 150, offensive tackle John Theus (Jacksonville, Fla./The Bolles School), comes in at No. 28. Theus is still ranked the sixth-best lineman prospect in the country. Running behind the 6-foot-6, 295-pound tackle, The Bolles School currently is unbeaten through seven games, averaging more than 35 points per contest.
Top defensive commitment Jonathan Taylor (Millen, Ga./Jenkins County) lands at No.52 on the list. Taylor recently was selected to play in the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 5 in St. Petersburg, Fla. Taylor is a 6-4, 315-pound nose tackle who will fit perfectly in Georgia's 3-4 defense.
