Florida State has approached offensive line recruiting in its own unique way since the arrival of Rick Trickett.
The veteran offensive line coach has always had his tried and true philosophy. The biggest and highest rated guys are not always the best.
He has placed a premium on toughness, character and the ability to develop by adding lean muscle mass. Trickett loved to take his time, wait until the summer going into prospects' senior seasons to see them in camp and coach them himself before settling on his targets.
Well, consider that plan left in the slow lane.
