BRADENTON, Fla. -- Though they won't play their first game in The Swamp together until September 2013, Florida safety commit Keanu Neal and outside linebacker commit Quinton Powell have already begun to form a tight bond.
Neal and Powell helped the the Central Florida Top Recruits 7-on-7 team finish third out of 17 teams at the IMG Madden 7-on-7 Southeast region qualifying event last weekend. With the third-place finish, Top Recruits moves on to the National IMG event in June.
Powell, who committed to Florida on the same day as Neal, was the first to join the Top Recruits team, but after a phone call to his future teammate, he convinced Neal to play with him.
