GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida's pass defense was among the best in the nation in 2011, but while the Gators did a good job limiting opponents' yardage, they weren't as successful in creating turnovers.
UF intercepted just eight passes last season, which tied for the second-lowest single-season total in school history (UF picked off just seven passes in 2002 and 1946). Only 19 schools in the nation intercepted fewer passes than the Gators.
