GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- For the past two seasons, Florida fans have been clamoring for more of running back Mike Gillislee. They're finally going to get what they want this spring.
Gillislee sits atop UF's depth chart entering spring practice. The senior has rushed for 920 yards and 10 touchdowns in spot duty the past three seasons. He has performed well whenever he's had the chance to carry the ball, averaging 6.3 yards per carry and only losing 10 yards in 145 carries.
The Florida Gators go into spring practice with a wide-open competition at tailback. Mike Gillislee, however, will get the first crack at the starting job.
