GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Recruiting is, at its core, nothing more than building relationships.

Right now, there can't be anybody better at doing that in North Carolina than Florida linebackers coach D.J. Durkin.

Durkin has secured commitments from four of North Carolina's top 14 players, including five-star offensive tackle and early enrollee D.J. Humphries from Charlotte, N.C./Mallard Creek High School. And he's done it by basically using a Boy Scout approach: professionalism, honesty and perseverance.
