GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Sunday was the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft, and this was the first time since the 2003 season that Florida did not have a junior or redshirt sophomore leave school early.

Florida has seven departing scholarship seniors who could be drafted. Running back Jeff Demps said this week he was dumping his potential NFL career in order to train for the 2012 London Olympics and then run track professionally, but here's an early look at the other six and what their draft status might be:

QB John Brantley
Career stats: 398-of-645, 4,750 yards, 30 touchdowns, 18 interceptions in 41 games
Scouts Inc. ranking: No. 24 quarterback
The skinny: Brantley went just 15-9 as a starter and struggled in 2010 in the spread-option offense. He was much better in 2011 in Charlie Weis' pro-style offense, but missed three total games with an ankle injury and a concussion. He's just a touch smaller than NFL teams would like (6-foot-2, 218 pounds) but he has a good arm and throws a nice ball. Even if he doesn't get drafted he'll end up in a team's training camp.
Projection: Rounds 6-7
