GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- It has been a rough year for Florida's quarterbacks.
Starter John Brantley missed 2½ games with a sprained right ankle and was severely limited for the first two games of his return and also missed the second half of the Florida State game with a concussion.
Until the first half of the FSU game, Brantley had put up solid numbers. Against the Seminoles, he threw three interceptions and completed 9-of-15 passes for 104 yards before suffering the concussion late in the first half.
It was a miserable season for Florida quarterbacks, but the Gators should benefit from having played freshmen Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel.
