GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- With Ohio State expected to name former Florida coach Urban Meyer its new head coach, one obvious question is what effect it will have on his former team's recruiting efforts this year.

Meyer, an expert recruiter, will seek to boost a Buckeyes recruiting class that is not ranked among the top 25 in the nation by ESPNU. Could he try to raid Florida's class, ranked No. 4 by ESPNU?

Of Florida's 17 commitments, only two -- Latroy Pittman (6-1/195, Citra, Fla./North Marion) and Dante Phillips (6-6/265, Venice, Fla./Venice) -- were verbally committed to Meyer before Will Muschamp took over as head coach.
