Former Tide DB Dre Kirkpatrick proving why he is considered a top pick

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- As a cornerback, Dre Kirkpatrick is constantly aware of his surroundings. The former University of Alabama star made himself into an All-American by reading and reacting to offenses.
In preparing for the NFL draft, he's behaving no differently. Instead of reading a quarterback's eyes, he's looking into those of NFL scouts and general managers. He knows the questions they have and he is prepared to answer them in full.
At Alabama's pro day on Wednesday, Kirkpatrick took another step in reaffirming his position as a potential first-round pick.
