Every other week, TideNation's writers will answer a handful of questions that address a pressing topic regarding the Alabama football program. And with every Roundtable, we'll seek out the opinions of a guest. This week's contributor is ESPN national recruiting director Tom Luginbill.
Question: Based on both talent and need, who is the most important commitment to this point in Alabama's 2013 recruiting class?
Tom Luginbill: Both quarterbacks Cooper Bateman and Parker McLeod add much needed depth as well as an upgrade in talent with the loss of Phillip Sims and a possible early entry to the NFL draft from AJ McCarron, depending on the type of season he has. Losing out on Jameis Winston and Gunner Kiel in last year's class only amplifies the importance of these two QB pickups. Both are an ideal fit for the scheme and are accurate passers with a feel for timing and the ability to make a variety of throws.
