Pollard builds relationship with Tide
High school season for top 2012 recruit Devonta Pollard mirroring Alabama's

DEKALB, Miss. -- Kemper County High School had high expectations coming into the season. Head coach Kelvin Young returned a strong group of players led by five-star forward Devonta Pollard, one of the top players in the country.
The team started off strong, but a series of suspensions midway through the year set them back. It looked as if Pollard never would get a chance to win that coveted state championship.
Players, however, began to come back from the suspensions, and the team found its chemistry at just the right time to make a run in the playoffs. On Thursday, Pollard will get a chance to take home that championship when Kemper County plays Booneville in the state title game.
