Reviewing the 2012 class
Top-ranked 2012 class produced a 1,000-yard back and UA's leading receiver
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- On the eve of national signing day, many questions remain unanswered: Will five-star Eddie Vanderdoes make the cross-country trip from California to Alabama? Could Laremy Tunsil, the top offensive tackle in the ESPN 150, spurn Georgia and Ole Miss to sign with the Crimson Tide? Was A'Shawn Robinson's decommitment from Texas the first step in his decision to come to Tuscaloosa? Will the remaining high-profile targets jump on board and make Alabama's class the best in the nation?
As we wait for the faxes to roll in, let's take a look back at the class of athletes Alabama signed a year ago. In Nick Saban's six years on campus, he's signed the No. 1 class in the country just once, according to ESPN. That came a year ago, when he nabbed Landon Collins away from LSU, lured Geno Smith from Georgia and kept Chris Black from Florida State.
With that in mind, TideNation assigned some superlatives to the class of 2012.
