Alabama and LSU have seen their share of dynamic and productive quarterbacks. But in recent years, the position has taken a back seat to swarming defenses and powerful running games.

LSU commit Anthony Jennings (Marrieta, Ga./Marrieta) and Alabama commit Cooper Bateman (Salt Lake City/Cottonwood) would like to change that.

"If [Alabama fans] are expecting me to come in and be a great quarterback, of course I want to exceed those expectations," Bateman said. "But at the same time, I'm thankful for the opportunity I've been given, where I have a chance to play with a defense like that."
